Fit for Service AZ
Christian Homeschool P.E. Co-op
About Fit for Service, FFSAZ
Fit for Service AZ is a Christian homeschool P.E. co-op that meets to strengthen physical bodies, make lasting friendships, and support each other in our homeschooling endeavors. We average about 100 families with around 300 kids each year.

Our P.E. year runs October through April, and we take most of December off. FFSAZ meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:00-3:30 PM at Freestone Park, 1045 E. Juniper Road, Gilbert, AZ 85234. Class time is from 2:00 to 3:00. Then, all classes, 9-years-old and up, run a mile. P.E. is officially over at 3:30.

Children are placed in individual classes according to age with some exceptions. The youngest class is a combined 3-year-old and 4-year-old class. Ages from 5-year-olds to 13-year-olds are in separate classes. Teens, 14 years and up, are grouped into a Boys’ Teen Class or a Girls’ Teen Class. The teens play coed about half of the year.

We encourage additional connection, communication, and fellowship among families through our private website forum, three seasonal parties, and monthly Moms' Connect—a fun meeting time offered at the park during P.E.
Membership Requirements
Membership cost is $105 per family.

A parent or responsible adult must attend a mandatory, informational meeting before his or her child can participate. Also, a parent or responsible adult must remain at the park for the complete duration of P.E.

As a co-op, FFSAZ parents/responsible adults share in the teaching responsibilities.

One adult from each family is required to teach eight class sessions which is typically one complete month. Each month, parents teach different, predetermined sports. FFSAZ supplies equipment, as well as encouragement and direction.

Class teaching assignments are designated on a first come, first served basis when the membership fee and completed registration forms are received. Assignments are announced at our mandatory September meeting that is held before we begin in October. As families join throughout the year, teaching requirements are assigned according to what is available.
